Mara Milagro had an incredible career in media sales before she ventured into the world of online content creation. After decades of spending her money accumulating lots of pretty things, she had a lot to thank God for.

Then, she almost lost her beloved husband Piro, to an unexpected illness. She had a wakeup call. A reminder that the goods they had accumulated were almost meaningless. The comfortable, above-average-sized house. The walk-in closet that spilled over with clothes and Manolos. A vast collection of high-end fragrances and skin creams. Even the nice SUVs.

None of that mattered if she lost dear Piro.

Fortunately, Mara’s husband pulled through the crisis, and he agreed. They set out to look for a new way to enjoy a happy life. A way that would connect afford them friends and not colleagues. A way that would let them enjoy recreation without continuously riding miles to the heart of the action.

They wanted to slow down but still live well. The means to do so appeared to be a condo in a well-appointed community. Hopefully…somewhere with good weather!

While Mara and her husband have not yet been able to retire and move into their dream home, they are planning. In the meantime, Mara decided to create Condo Dreaming. While it’s a passion project right now, she plans to retire very soon and make it her main endeavor.
